DRESS CODE

To ensure a focused and productive learning environment, please make sure your dancer arrives to class dressed appropriately:

All dance shoes must be brought in a labeled bag and should not be worn outside to preserve the studio floors. Standard black, white, and hot pink attire is required for all classes. Tops: Leotards or sports bras in the approved colors. Tight-fitting dancewear only. If wearing black shorts or leggings, skin-tone tights must be worn underneath. DGD shirts are permitted in Hip Hop classes only.

Absolutely no Crocs, Hey Dudes, or slippers are allowed in Hip Hop or any other class.

Dancers not in proper attire may be asked to sit out of class.

The Studio has a partnership with Dynamic Dancewear, Etc. 1205 - B, 1205 Boston Ave, Nederland, TX 77627 where DGD Studio will receive a 10% discount on jazz shoes.

To ensure a positive, productive, and professional environment, all students and families must adhere to the following studio rules:

Attendance & Punctuality

Students must arrive 5–10 minutes before class to allow time to use the restroom, change, remove jewelry, and secure hair neatly.
Students must be READY TO DANCE at the start of class.
Students who miss three or more classes may receive a reduced role in upcoming performances.

Dress Code

Proper dance attire, secure hair (in a net if wearing beads), and no jewelry are required for every class.
Basic hygiene is expected: Keep deodorant in your dance bag to reapply as needed.
Jeans are not permitted in any dance class, including hip hop.
Dance shoes are for studio use only. Do not wear dance shoes outside. Change from street shoes into labeled, class-specific dance shoes upon arrival.

Personal Belongings

Students and parents are responsible for their own items. Please label all personal belongings.
Do not bring valuables to the studio. DGD is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced property.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off

All students must be picked up within 10 minutes of the end of class. A $15 late pick-up fee will be applied to your account after that time.

Studio Etiquette

Only spill-proof water bottles are allowed in the studio. No gum, food, or drinks other than water.
No parents, caregivers, or siblings are allowed inside the dance studio while class is in session.
Keep noise levels low in the waiting area at all times.
Cell phones must be silenced and stowed in dance bags during class.
No photography or video recording is allowed in class or at performances without prior permission.

Behavior & Respect

Be respectful: no disruptive behavior, foul language, or negativity.
Always pay attention to the coach and apply corrections with a positive attitude.
No talking during class or leaving early unless there is an emergency.
Never stop in the middle of an exercise—finish strong.
Be kind to fellow dancers. Rudeness will not be tolerated.
Practice at home to reinforce class instruction.

Parental Communication

Parents wishing to discuss their dancer’s progress must email dollgirlsdance@outlook.com or leave a message for Studio Owner, Ms. Krystal.
Please do not interrupt classes or approach coaches during sessions.
Even if you have a dance background, please allow the instructors to lead class. Support your dancer’s learning by practicing at home.

Choreography & Class Culture

Choreography taught at DGD is the property of the studio and cannot be performed elsewhere (e.g., talent shows) without written permission from the Directors.
At the end of each class, dancers are expected to applaud and thank their coach.
